Sluggo`s Nortd Vegetarian Cafe in Chattanooga

Thai bowl is terrific. Highly recommend this plate and this place to anyone trying to be vegan or veggie. It's a bit hippie dippy, but I kind of expected that given the clientele

A very tasty Vegan place. I am a meat eater and I thoroughly enjoyed this place! I ordered the buffalo wings and a turkey sandwich. They both tasted just like meat! The food was fresh and delicious. The service was excellent as well.One more thing, make sure to try the Vegan ranch! It is fresh made and even better than normal ranch!

These people are great. They have a fabulous vegan menu. They have great dishes and you should try them out. New favorite local spot.

WOW. WOW. WOW. Some of the BEST vegan food I have ever had. And the prices are extremely reasonable and affordable. I got the Culture Club with a side of garlic mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy and it felt like a religious experience. Will definitely come again. Also, the staff is super helpful and friendly.

Both my husband and I loved our food. However, what really impressed me about this restaurant is how they handled an error. We both ordered the pecan seitan plates and mine was missing gravy. I phoned them and they apologised and had gravy brought to my home. I think such caring service and having a pride in their business is quite rare these days and because of this experience, they have now gained loyal customers!

All vegan food. Delicious! I have my go-to's such as the hummus wrap and the berliner. However I usually try to get something off the daily specials board because they don't make it regularly. Great bean burgers, chickpea burgers , etc. Pecan crusted seitan is delicious as well

I recently played a show at this particular establishment and was very pleased with everything about this place: the staff were very courteous, the food was absolutely remarkable, and the bartender and sound tech working were very friendly and accommodating.I enjoyed everything about this place, I imagine it as an amazing place to hang out, take a date, friends or parents 😎 this is hands down one of the neatest local staples I have been to in Chattanooga. I’d give it more stars if I could.

Our party of five comprised of omnivores was pleasantly surprised and satisfied. Good friends in Knoxville recommended Sluggo’s. While a bit of a hole in the wall, I prefer to label the environment as laid back. The staff was amazingly helpful. This is an order at the counter and food will be brought to your table establishment. My wife, who was a vegetarian for 12 years was absolutely delighted. By the way, the patrons there are pretty cool.

Small cozy place with friendly staff and good prices. The food is tremendously delicious. Good portion sizes too! My wife and I split the sweet potato enchiladas plate and an appetizer.

Great spot for vegan food. Nachos were perfect and good comfort food options.

The food at this place is some of the best I have ever had. Wether, you are vegan, vegetarian, or non vegetarian you will love this food. I had the vegan philly cheese stake and it was mouthwatering and their mashed potatoes are some of the best I have ever had. Service is also great. MUST GO HERE😄😄😄

My expectations were high, and they still blew them out of the water! This place was fantastic! The cheeky wings and the patty melt were both SO good! We will be back soon to try out other dishes.

A great vegan/vegetarian cafe with plenty of options and drinks. Good beer selection and a variety of food options, with several raw choices as well. Definitely worth a stop if you are looking for a veggie meal.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon with a large party, and Sluggo's was able to accommodate and feed us all thoroughly and efficiently. Only one vegan was in our group of 11, but we all enjoyed our lunch and beers at Sluggo's. Portion size was surprisingly large, and food was fresh and delicious!

We were in Chattanooga tonight and a friend recommended Sluggo's. We're not vegetarian or vegan, however, we enjoy eating healthy. This food is best described as vegan southern comfort food and it's on point. This food is so good that if you put a plate of it on your head your tounge would black both of your eyes trying to get to it.

Went to Sluggo's as often as possible when I lived in Chatt.; I'm in WI right now. The menu is amazing, the food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is relaxed & comfortable, and the staff & customers are friendly & kind. I''ll be back when this whole thing is over with and will, once again, wallow in the bliss of Sluggo's - a definite destination of food nirvana.

my one stop in Chattanooga. tired and hungry on a road trip and found this cool little place. it didn't disappoint. great healthy food and friendly staff

Every time I come it's never a disappointment. The mushroom walnut Burger is fantastic. The pecan crusted sietan is a great meal! Today I'm trying The Philly! I travel alot and This is my saving grace for plant based when I'm starving and coming out of airports! It's a cute little place and worth the stop!

Never been to a completely vegan restaurant but this place was great! Fresh veggies and plenty of sauces to try! We will definitely go back.

Casual and friendly vegan restaurant. I had to the Walnut mushroom burger and it was delicious!

After a few days of road trip junk food we were so happy to find a veg*n restaurant to get a good meal. The food was great and you can't beat a place named after Joey Ramone with Joey Ramone art everywhere 🙏🏻

Even though this was a first time experience, it was an amazing dinner Not only was the staff very informative and took the time to explain in great detail what everything was and how it was prepared, they also were very helpful with helping me and my 70 year old Southern Mom decide on our dinner. We chose the vegetable plate, with black beans, sweet potato mash and salad. (Mom went for collard greens instead of sweet potatoes) EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! My mother even was delighted with the collard greens and was very impressed at how delicious they were without what she is accustomed to them being seasoned with (pork). We both would very much recommend Sluggo's! Even if you aren't vegan, this is a great little place to eat and you won't be disappointed 😉.

Awesome vegan comfort food. Large selection of menu items, generous portion sizes, and everything was delicious! So refreshing to have an entire menu of vegan food to choose from- wish we had a place like this in Birmingham.

This is a vegan restaurant with options. They have a variety of choices, from nachos (delicious) to stuffing and country fried "steak" (also delicious). It's good food that's worth the trip and money.

Unique vegan restaurant, as unique as the name. I'm sorry vegan places are still sufficiently out of the mainstream that they feel they must warn you "no meat" before you order. Place your order at the counter, they bring out the food and keep your soft drink or coffee filled. (But not your beer. Too bad.)

Really high quality food. We were here for a long weekend and this was hands down the best place we ate.

Slows was great food was amazing. Service was top-notch. Although the space is not very big it is very cozy and welcoming. The artwork on the walls is very inspiring and encouraging makes me feel at home. I had the spicy chekky wrap and was thoroughly impressed

Sluggo's is great. The building shows it's age, but the food is amazing. I think it is the best vegan restaurant in town.

Sluggos is the most iconic restaurant in Chattanooga IMHO. I’ve been dining here religiously for 8 years and am always pleased with the service, quality, and portions. Chattanooga is so lucky to have one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve ever visited. I’m SO grateful for their takeout service during the COVID crisis, which feels very safe and sanitary. Thank you!

I got the vegan Philly sandwich. It was good. Nothing really like a Philly, so ..... Good in its own right. Staff okay, not unfriendly, but not particularly friendly. Wouldn't particularly mind going back, but not worth going out of my way.

Mmmmmmmm is the best explanation. We stop here on out way to Nashville every time we drive north. They have a variety of foods. There are also plenty of gluten free options.

Very surprised at these reviews. Curly black haired guy = rude (AF). Service = Lacking. Food = Mediocre at best. In times like these you would imagine businesses that remain in service would be on their “A” game. Been to over 25 Vegan food gigs in the last 2 years traveling. This is the only one I will not be back to.

Service was great, food was amazing but the cleanliness in the restroom was an issue. I expect a restaurants kitchen and bathrooms to be clean. I would go back reluctantly only because there are not a lot of Vegetarian/ vegan only options in chattanooga

Stopped by for Sunday brunch and it was incredible. I never thought of eggplant with hollandaise, and wouldn't normally have even tried it, but it was described so well I took a chance. It was fabulous. So many choices of vegan in Chattanooga, but don't miss this place. The library is fun and interesting, the art is interesting and the patio is fun. Great place all around.

We loved Sluggo’s!! The portion sizes were large and the staff was very friendly. The lot to park was small, but we went on Sunday morning and it wasn’t too crowded. We would definitely go again! We had tofu scramble and a fruit bowl. I loved that the fruit bowl had a great variety of fruit.
